Experience

I quickly develop a deep understanding of complex systems. At IBM, I took over extremely critical hospital billing software in an unfamiliar language. Within three years, I restructured it for consistency and maintainability and led the development of a compiler to migrate it to another machine. After one year, I began training a colleague with no prior IT training; he succeeded me when I left the position two years later.

Support, maintenance and new developments in C++ of a C/C++ compiler generating code for a family of Very Large Instruction Word (VLIW) Vector Signal Processors (VSP), especially optimized for embedded systems based on ARM processors.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Several projects in the banking, industrial and administrative health care fields. Among other things : development of a compiler to migrate an application from Unix to iSeries, development of similar tools for interactive source-code cleanup of a highly critical banking application. The compiler was later reused without my assistance; no defects attributable to the code-cleanup transformations were detected.
